Today I am here to help you find not only the BEST PERSONAL TRAINER in ORANGE COUNTY but more importantly the BEST PERSONAL TRAINER in OC for you!

I know we have a lot of followers who read our blog who are out of the Orange County area so please understand that this goes for anyone searching for a personal trainer anywhere in the world. Are you ready? ok…here goes my top 10 list:
1. The trainer must look the part! If he or she does not look the part, but supposedly knows the part, well…then most likely he or she is not probably the best motivator for you if he or she can not even motivate him or herself to getting in lean, fit, healthy shape.

2. The trainer must be educated. What does this mean? Well…the trainer must have at the minimum graduated from a 4 year university or college and have at minimum a bachelors.

3. The trainer must be nationally certified. This is important showing that the trainer at the minimum past an exam certifying that he or she is up to date.

4. The trainer must have a website. Now why is this important. Well… by having a website it validates that this trainer is legit and real and actually is willing to invest in him or herself financially for the long run and is not just doing this “trainer gig” as part time or for a short duration.

5. The trainer must understand your specific goals and have a plan. If at any time you call a personal trainer and the trainer “throws” you into a generic “trial workout” well this is an automatic RED FLAG! And it this just shows that all he or she wants to do is to sell you and is clearly not interested in you, your well-being, your past injuries, your motivating reason to why you want to hire him or her.

6. The trainer must have an actual personal training facility, studio, or fitness place to train you. If you are looking for a boot camp an area like a park or beach or track all work. If the trainer wants to bring you to a corporate gym like 24 hour fitness, la fitness, bally’s total fitness, or any other corporate gym when he or she is not an employee for the gym, this is another RED FLAG! It is actually illegal for any independent personal trainer to bring in outside clients to a facility where they already offer the same services. You as the client and the trainer could get in a lot of trouble and fined as well.

7. The trainer must provide Before and after testimonials and PICTURES. This is huge!

It is super important to do your research and read reviews from past or current clients to make sure that they had an enjoyable experience with this trainer or personal training company.

Make sure you see before and after PICTURES because words can always be made up but when you see the actual before and after pictures of the clients you know then that this trainer means business!

8. The trainer must have an enjoyable personality! Now why is this important? Well to start, as a client you do plan on spending at least 2-5 hours a week with this individual and if your trainer is not fun being around and is just dry without positive energy, well…it will just make your overall experience not a fun, positive one. Working out should be fun and rewarding and if you can’t have fun doing it with a trainer, I suggest finding a new one!

9. The trainer must offer monthly measurements, monthly progression pictures, and nutrition consulting. If he or she does not do this there will be no way to tell how much as a client you have excelled, improved, and any prove of results you might have earned.

10. The trainer must be flexible. Remember you are paying this person to fit around your schedule so make sure that your trainer has flexible hours to work around your work schedule, family obligations, vacations, etc.
I hope this helps you find your “BEST PERSONAL TRAINER” in Orange County or wherever you are.
