Hi there everyone! Happy Friday from Jon Jung of Jungle Fitness Personal Training based out of Sunny Orange County, California. Well today not so sunny

Currently in America we are struggling as a country to fight obesity. Obesity is not necessarily hereditary, but it is also self-learned and self-taught. What does this mean?

means that many people who are overweight are overweight because truly they have stopped caring about themselves or feel that there is no hope for them. This is really sad. I too have close family members and friends who are overweight and approaching obesity and it hurts me to know that they won’t take my hand nor advice to help me help them get out of their own stubborn “overweight grave.”

So what can we do? Well for starters we can stop eating at fast food restaurants! I understand 100% that stopping entirely is very difficult, so let’s cut down the fast food restaurants down to a point system.

Everything is okay in moderation. I believe that 1 out of 10 is fair enough. What does this mean? Well… if you work out 5 days a week, then in 2 weeks you would have exercised 10 times so after 10 times of exercise you can have 1 cheat meal. So if you want your cheat meal to be fast food you should reward your hard work, but remember only 1 cheat meal per 10 days of exercise. So if you are only working 3x a week, well you might have to wait over 3 weeks till you can have that cheat meal. Remember cheat meal not cheat day!
This guys is not a considered a cheat meal, it’s considered a cheat feast…NOT OKAY! lol

Here is what the news of the world says about childhood obesity:

Jungle Fitness of Orange County California brings it to you straight up with out BS!
The study claims that the Government may be misguided in its policy of trying to tackle the problem through expensive projects aimed at persuading children in primary school to eat healthily and exercise mored.
Instead, the report suggests, they should focus on educating new parents and parents-to-be to feed their children less before they start school, so they do not become overweight in the first place. Parents must learn to reduce portion sizes it suggests.

The findings from one of the few long-term studies on childhood obesity in Britain show that daughters of overweight mothers are 10 times more likely to be obese by the time they reach the age of eight than a daughter born to a slim mother.
Sons of obese fathers are six times more likely to be overweight, according to the research from scientists working on the EarlyBird Diabetes Project at the medical school in Plymouth.

Children of fat parents tended to be over-fed and under-exercised, setting them on a trajectory towards obesity, it found. The chief cause of weight gain, the report said, was “over-nutrition” of children by their parents.
One of the report’s co-authors, Terry Wilkin, Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Peninsula Medical School, told The Daily Telegraph that the results showed “physical activity will help a child’s fitness but not his or her fatness”.
