Hey there everyone! Jon of the Jungle here, hoping that everyone is staying warm on this cold and rainy Saturday! How weird is the weather here in Orange County huh? Looks like we are going to have to break out the umbrellas today!
So for those of you who are into fundraisers and charity events the way I am, you’ve probably heard of a really cool fundraiser called The Ronald McDonald Playhouse Fundraiser!
The Ronald McDonald House Charity is a really awesome charity that was put together back in the 1970s to help raise money to build a house for hospital patients to wait and be comfortable in while waiting to be treated at nearby hospitals. Funds raised helped buy an old house located near the hospital, which was opened in 1974 as the first Ronald McDonald House.
This particular charity provides “families stability and resources so they can keep their child healthy and happy.” Whether those problems involve how to stay near and support a hospitalized child, how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment, or even getting basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community.
The Ronald McDonald House Charity helps find solutions to people problems by:
- 276 local Chapters in 52 countries and regions
- 300 Ronald McDonald Houses
- 152 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms
- 40 Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles
- Grants to non-profit organizations that also focus on the needs of children
- Scholarships to students across the United States
- Chapters around the world creating country- specific programs

I had the privilege of supporting this awesome fundraiser by ordering myself some delicious chicken strips and french fries! Just remember that you can eat what you want to eat but you must work out properly and correctly!
